Move subscribers
-
I’m trying to move my subscribers from my old wordpress.com site (greasegirl.wordpress.com) to my new self-hosted wordpress.org site (greasegirl.com). Jetpack is installed with subscription enabled.
Also, when I made the new site – I left all content published at greasegirl.wordpress.com (it’s been an active site for 5 years, so has quite a bit of content with about 300 visitors/day before the jump). Now I’m only getting less than half of that, still on my .com site with dreadfully low traffic on my new site. Any suggestions for optimizing? I think the best option would be to redirect all traffic to the corresponding urls on the new site, but I don’t know how that can be done.

Provided you have installed and activated the JetPack plugin http://jetpack.me on your WordPress.org install, and you post the relevant URL(s) into a forum thread, Staff will do the transfer of both subscribers and stats for you. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/#wordpress-com-to-self-hosted-site I have tagged this thread for their attention.
