Move subscribers from WP.com to self-hosted (no Jetpack option)

  I need to move my followers from a WordPress.com site to a self-hosted WordPress site. I have already moved my domain and my new self-hosted blog is live, but now I need to migrate all my existing WordPress.com subscribers over to my new site. Is there some way to export followers? I could not see a way to do this. I tried following the steps described HERE* but there was no Jetpack Subscriber plugin (is this because I am on the free WP.com account)?
