move to wp.org with lots of problems
-
so, i’ve recently moved my wp.com blog to wp.org through bluehost. it uses same url so i simply redirected my old blog to the new.
but the problem is, in wp.com my new blog url is linked to “WWW.WORDPRESS.COM” which is causing lots of problem on my end.
redirect is not a problem but whenever people subscribe to me or try to click on my link from the readers, etc, the url links to http://WWW.WORDPRESS.COM instead of http://WWW.MYSEOULINBKK.COM which i believe was some kind of error on wp.com’s end.
anyone know if that can be fixed from my end? i’ve sent numerous email to the support but no there’s no response..
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Did you move yourself or did you buy the Guided Transfer upgrade to move to your self-hosted install?
If you bought the Guided Transfer upgrade recently, you are eligible for support for a short while after moving (2 weeks, I believe), so hang tight for a reply to your emails to Support.

no i didn’t use the guided transfer. i moved it myself… this is so frustrating :( any suggestions?

Assuming that you are using the jetpack plugin, I will tag this for Staff assistance. Meantime, you might get faster answers from the jetpack forum on WordPress.org http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack
If you don’t have a login over there, you’ll need to sign up for one.
Other jetpack resources: http://jetpack.me/support/

Just to clarify one other point.
i’ve sent numerous email to the support but no there’s no response.
Once you move to hosting your own WP install, the correct place to find help is http://wordpress.org/support/
Your problem is a “shade of grey” which is why I’ve tagged it for Staff assistance.

seoulinbkk.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.
You deleted your old site – that is most of your problem – when people click on an old link (if you did not have domain mapping) they go to the old blog which no longer exists – that is why they end up at WordPress.COM
http://myseoulinbkk.com/ – loads fine for me

redirect is not a problem but whenever people subscribe to me or try to click on my link from the readers, etc,
I’m not sure that I understand this. Your self-hosted site’s posts would not be appearing in the reader and unless they did so manually, WordPress.com users would not be subscribing to your site through the WordPress.com interface.
Unless we are on completely different wavelengths, it sounds like you may have something set up incorrectly on your new site.
Can you give me some more specific examples where WordPress.com users are encountering this?
