I want to put my archives widget on my navigation bar. I’m using the Twenty Fourteen Theme for my TheologyLite Blog. I would like to do the same thing with my links widget. I want both to be drop down widgets.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there! Widgets, such as the ones you’ve mentioned, can only be placed in your sidebar in the Twenty Fourteen theme. If you choose to do this, please click Appearance → Widgets and install the widgets you’d like into the Primary Sidebar.

If you want to add those items to your top menu bar, you can create a custom menu instead. Here are instructions on how to create and maintain custom menus:

    Menus

Following the directions in the link about, you can create drop-down menu items that display a list of links or archived items. Or, you can create menu items that link to a separate Links page and Archives page.

If you create an archives page, you can embed this shortcode to display the items:

A Links page would have to be created manually.

I hope this helps! Let me know if I can help further. Best wishes to you.
