Move wordpress Radiate theme from WordPress.com to WP install on Bluehost

    Hello,
    We are a non-profit organization that are looking to upgrade our website.

    In order to get our committee’s approval, we had built a prototype on WP.com and had purchased the Radiate theme. Everybody loved the theme and the prototype website built using that. We thought we could then push the theme onto the bluehost hosted WP website we are building. However, it looks like we need to get the license of the Radiate theme moved over from WP.com to the WP install on bluehost. We were able to export the files over but not sure if the theme license carries over. Can you advise on how we can make that happen?

    This support document says:-

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/premium-themes/

    “Note: Premium Themes that are set up for WordPress.com use only cannot be transferred to self-hosted WordPress.org sites”.

    There are exceptions if the Premium theme was developed by WordPress. However in the case of Radiate that is owned by https://themegrill.com/ so if you’ve moved to a self-hosted site you’ll need to purchase a fresh copy of the theme directly from the developers.
