Move WP content to .wordpress.com?

    I am a blog novice who got started a blog in 2018 through the WP platform but hosted with a different site. I ultimately didn’t like that site at all, so I ended the account. Now I’m not sure where my content lives. Can I move that content to a blog at .wordpress.com? What are the steps to do this?

    Hey there, if you had a site with another host, the content lived there.

    I’m not sure it would be there anymore unless you had a backup, or unless they have a backup still (you might try getting in touch.)

    The WayBack archive at archive.org may help too, though you would basically need to copy and paste from that.

    Once you have access to the old site, here’s how to import it:

    Or you can just start fresh and do your best to re-create what you had. It’s just a bit tougher if you’ve already gotten rid of the old version. I hope that makes sense!
