Moved domain to another host, still directs to WordPress.com blog

  I am in the process of moving my blog to a self-hosted WordPress.org site. I recently purchased a hosting package to go with smallbudgetbigapple.com, a domain name that I originally purchased through WordPress. I transferred the domain name over to my new host and associated the new hosting package with it. However, when I go to http://www.smallbudgetbigapple.com, I am still seeing the content that lives at http://smallbudgetbigapple.wordpress.com. Do the changes take a few days to kick in?

  Hi there,

  It looks to me like your domain is no longer pointing at a WordPress.com site, so I suspect the change has occurred!

  It does take up to 72 hours to propagate across the web, but often takes less time.

  Just let me know if you’re still seeing a problem on your end!
