Moved my website

Hello. I’ve redone my website to squarespace, and now that I’ve transferred over, I can’t access any of the old pages or plugins. I still need to move some things over, but I can’t seem to login.

  • Hi, could you send a link to the web page you’re trying to access? I don’t see any sites associated with this account, but you did just create it a few hours ago. I’m guessing you have another account here.

Our website is http://www.themysterycafe.com. Whatever was created a few hours ago was probably one of my attempts to log in to wordpress.

I assumed that once we switched over to Squarespace, I could still access the wordpress material, but I can’t even access my login page.

  • Hi there,

From what I can see, the site themysterycafe.com appears to have been a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on Network Solutions Web Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.

To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and Network Solutions also happens to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Because of this we are not able to help with your issue as it lies outside of our system. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.

You may also wish to contact Network Solution’s support team for more assistance. Generally speaking if you switch themysterycafe.com from NetSol to Squarespace, this will make your NetSol site inaccessible. It’s likely the case you will need to temporarily point the domain back to NetSol (so you can access your content there) and then once you have migrated everything you need, then you can switch it to Squarespace

However, this is just a guess (due to my understanding of how domains work) but we do not have any specific insight into what is going on here. You will need to reach out to NetSol support for help in this case.

Hope that points you in the right direction!
