Moved to wp.org, bring theme from wp.com?
-
I just moved to my very own hosted blog with wordpress.org. It was easy to set up, and then the export from my blog here (memorywriters.wordpress.com) to the new one was incredibly simple. Good going, WordPress. This is fun!
As a newbie, I’m trying to learn as much as I can, but I looked at the vast array of themes and get dizzy. I want to get up and running with a header like the one I had on my blog here — with the name of my blog and a subtitle. Can someone point me to the fastest, simplest way I can pop in a more customizable header for my new hosted blog?
Thanks!!

For self-hosted WordPress, you will want to ask at http://wordpress.org/support/ .
In WordPress 2.1, the default theme allows custom headers Presentation > Header Image and Color .

Allows for custom colors actually. The released version of the default them doesn’t allow one to upload an image.
You can just replace it by modifing the URL within the header.php file though.
edit: I believe that’s only on the wp.com version of the theme that one can upload an actual image to Kubrick.
