So, I guess from reading when site was moved from wordpress hosted site to a self hosted wordpress site the old site still exists under a wpstaging.com site. So, this site is still receiving traffic due to wp.me shortlinks that were created and all the backlink traffic is coming here. I know wp.me is for wordpress hosted platforms and think they are part of Jetpack maybe but not sure if there is a way to edit those links to point to new site? If not, is there a way to get a listing of those links that exist and pages they point to so I can try to finds the sources? Lastly, not sure if the wpstaging.com site had any plugins or what I could loose is converted down to free site to where maybe I can re-direct those links, if this is even an option on the free site or which plan would I need to be on to basically allow me to re-direct these as 301 links to correct domain site I have hosted not on wordpress.com?

Site: (email visible only to moderators and staff)/.
    Correct account: Unknown

@doingcxrightgmailcom – it looks like you were removed as an Administrator from that site approximately 10 months ago and site ownership was transferred to another WordPress.com user account.

We can only provide help to the site owner, so they would need to reach out to Support to get guidance on this staging site.

    I hope that clarifies things.

Is it transferred tio a doingcxright.com account? I had my site re-created by an agency (primeconcepts.com) and it was done in Divi and thus could no longer be hosted on wordpress.com. Information, etc was transferred over and hosted elsewhere and still doingcxright.com. However, when I was researching backlinks with 404 error codes and other issues I can across the wp.me links I had used for shorlinks on articles I wrote etc and saw that they were all coming back to my old site. Realized that this site was still active somewhere but is on the the wpstaging.com and obviously not active on wordpress.com. From what I had read in another post, the site gets moved to this staging server if the account is no longer active/bill not paid, etc. So not really sure how I could have been removed. Although not sure if you are going by doingcxrightgmailcom which I have no idea where this came from since I tried logging in with old credentials and when I said lost password and logged in this is now the username it created. Old site is inactive on wordpress.com and is only on staging so need a little guidance here on how I can possibly regain access since I should be admin as was on original site under one of 3 of my emails (email visible only to moderators and staff), (two others I really donlt want to post in a forum fully) S****@doingcxright.com or maybe a personal gmail account but don’t believe I used that. Unless somehow the agency removed my acct after they transferred everything out and onto new site and its under a primeconcepts.com email. So looking foir sme direction here.

The correct account is indeed under a primeconcepts email address.

If you do not recall the password for that account, we have some options for you at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

I sent an email over to prime concepts and hopefully they respond. I tried one person I contacted but dealt with many over the course of creating the new site. Have no clue what email address it could be under. That would help with who I need to contact over there. Btw, I am curious though if username is their email address or this is under doingcxright since that seems to exist for a username. Tried a password reset but obviously doesn’t go to any of my emails.

As far as the recovery form niot sure how this would help me in this situation. They for some reason removed me as admin maybe for transfer purposes but not on there now. I can only put the original username or email for the acct since that is all I would know but seems like that was removed. I have info asked for though for recovery like original activation link, Transaction ID in email from renewal in 2019. Have 2 factor codes but they would be for my original login and not sure if applicable here if I was in fact removed.

    Thanks for all the ino.
Since we won’t be able to assist with account recovery here, on the forums, it’s best if you reach out directly to passwordhelp@wordpress.com. You can send any of the account ownership proofs there, and our team will get back to you with more info.
