Moved wordpress site to new hosting – Database updated required

  I am moving hosting and one wordpress site is not working.

  I backed it up.
  Copied all files to new host.
  Created database and user with full privs, added user to database
  imported backup of database.

  The site comes up but when I login to admin i get “Database Update Required”. I updated it and then i get a blank white screen. I deleted the database and started over and the same thing i get. Any ideas?

  Also i noticed that i cannot log out. I cleared my cache and closed the browser but when i visit the site it shows i am already logged in.
