Moving a blog

  I need to move a blog off my main account into a new account. Any suggestions?

  No disrespect meant but I removed what you wrote. If they followed that, they would have lost their posts.

  Fairly simple. Under teh Dashboard -> Manage tab, there are Import and Export links. Export out of your old blog and save the file to your desktop. Import it into your new blog under the WordPress Import link.

  I know this is an old topic but I have new question. I’d like to move my blog from blogspot to wordpress.com do the above directions still apply? I want to keep the name of the blog the same.

  You can do a search of the FAQ to find how to import from Blogspot. To keep the URL the same, however, you need to purchase the Domain upgrade…and it won’t ever work if the domain you want to keep was somethingorother.blogspot.com . To just keep the name the same, just name it the same. Easy and free.
