Moving a blog to a different user name failed. What am I doing wrong?

I wish to move my blog to a different username so that it shows up under my “My Blogs” dashboard, with 4 other blogs that I own.
I followed the instructions for “Transferring Your Blog to Another User or Account” and received a “Transfer Blog” email. Clicking on the provided link, I get this error message:
“Your attempt to transfer a blog failed – please contact support”
What am I doing wrong?

Exactly what blog did you try and transfer? To what account?

The blog I’m trying to transfer is john27webdesign.wordpress.com.
The destination user account is johnlbradfield ((email visible only to moderators and staff))
