Moving a blog to a new user – wordpress.com

  A wordpress hosted blog – I purchased the ~$100 upgrade. I’m now trying to transfer a blog to a different user as I left my job and I keep getting the error message “you cannot transfer to that user” The user is already set up as an administrator on the blog.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  What is the username please?

  I did use the guide. Basically the process fails after entering the user name. No email gets generated and I get the error message “you cannot transfer to that user”

  Username is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  Apparently, I can’t enter the username. It is [redacted by staff]

  That is not a correct WordPress.com username.

  Hi ewendkos, the email address you provided is not linked to a WordPress.com account. Can you make sure that the person you want to transfer the blog to has an account here at WordPress.com? If they don’t have an account yet, they will need to sign up for one first at this link:
