Moving a domain from wordpress hosting to another hosting provider.
-
I’m going to be upgrading my wordpress.com site (alankraft.me) to a wordpress.org install and I would like to move it to a new host. I already have a godaddy.com hosting account, and I would like to migrate the domain so that it is part of that account. Is there an easier process for this than simply waiting for my wordpress premium account to expire, along with the domain, and then registering the domain with my godaddy account? Is there a simpler way to transfer the domain ownership to my godaddy account?
Also, does wordpress.com offer domain hosting without wordpress premium? I wouldn’t mind leaving my domain with wordpress.com, as long as I can do a wordpress.org install and have full ftp/hosting abilities. Thanks for any advice.

Take a look through those pages and let me know if you have any further questions. I’ll be happy to help.
