Moving a post

Hi there!
What’s the link to the post in question and where exactly would you like to move it?
-
Hi,
Thanks for answering.
This is my blog address – https://wordpress.com/view/themarshallplan.design.blog
Is that what you needed?
I’d like to move a few posts from the ‘book reviews and author interviews’ page into the blog page. The ‘book reviews’ page is my current feed.
Thanks,
-
Sure thing. You can select individual posts to display on a different page using the short code.
Take a look:

Let me know if more help is needed!

Hi,
Sorry, this doesn’t make sense to me I’m afraid. I’ve managed to work out how to add code onto the post, but that doesn’t help me actually move it? Does it. I can type [display-posts], like the article says, but will that actually move the post to my blog page?
Thanks

Hi there,
Currently, your blog page (where all your posts appear) is the
Book Reviews and Author Interviews. To better separate your posts you can use this nice trick with categories. So, to create the effect of a single page showing a group of related posts you can follow these steps:
1. Assign the same category to all of the posts you want to appear on a given page.
2. Create a custom menu in Appearance > Menus.
3. Using the “Categories” module to the left of the Appearance > Menus screen, add the categories you want to appear as pages to your menu, and drag to arrange them.

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
I can get to menus like you suggest.
I can only have two menus according to my theme. (what is a menu?)
I only have one at the moment – primary/social menu.
Do I add a new menu at this point?
That’s what I have done and now that page isn’t visible at the top next to the others apart from with a tiny little icon.
Almost there, but I want that page to be displayed next to the others!
-
Yes, in this case add a new navigation menu, and build it as desired: https://wordpress.com/support/menus/

But I still can’t move some posts that I’ve already written on another page. Thats what I need to do – move some posts to a different page.

Pages are a form of content, like Posts, so they cannot contain Posts.
Instead, utilize your Categories, as each Category has its own archive page, like https://themarshallplan.design.blog/category/book-review/
You can add these Categories to your menu for the same effect you’re looking for.

Oh okay, I didnt know that. So whats the point in having pages and posts if they are the same?
What are things called that you leave on a page then, I thought those were posts?
This looks good. How do you create a category heading on a page like this?
Thanks

Have a look at this page, this should help you understand the difference :)

This is what we call Category Pages, and this is how you can add them to your menu:
