Moving a self-hosted site to WP.com
-
Hi,
One of my sites is currently linked to my WordPress.com account but it is currently self-hosted and its domain is managed by another company. What’s the best way to transfer both the content and the domain to WordPress.com?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ugh! The URL listed under “The blog I need help with” is not the one. It’s a different one.

So, the fact that it’s already linked via the Jetpack plugin has nothing to do with the transfer? Do I unlink it from Jetpack first?

Hi again!
As the content is on other servers, it has to be moved here initially, Jetpack Plugin helps you link it to the new Dashboard and gives you the ability to manage your Self Hosted Website using the new dashboard. You will have to set up the website here, the advantage now on WordPress.com is if you choose a Business Plans from these plans, you can now even choose the Themes and Plugins using Appearances and Plugin Uploads to have the themes and custom plugins as well too..!
Hope this helps, let us know for any further questions..! -
