moving a site from Wix to WordPress

  Our current web site is located at Wix. I would like to move it to WordPress, but our domain name is CEAburg.org. Can we be served by WordPress?

  Concerning the domain name, WordPress.com doesn’t accept incoming domain transfers, so you’ll have to leave your domain with your current registrar and then buy the domain mapping upgrade here to connect your domain to your free WordPress.com site. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  As for content, it appears that WordPress.com doesn’t support imports from Wix, so you’ll first have to convert your content into a compatible format before you’ll be able to import it to your site here. http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

  You may also want to look into the self-hosted WordPress.org option. It allows more flexibility than the WordPress.com platform, but also requires more responsibility on your end. For more information and links to the WP.org site, see here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
