Moving a site to WordPress

We had our church website developed and now want to move it off the developer’s server to the WordPress servers. calvarychapelaiken.org I have exported all into the xml file. Will I be able to import it to the WordPress servers? And what minimum level of WordPress site should we have to support it? $4 or $8 per month. We are a small church budget.

If you wish to use your existing domain (calvarychapelaiken.org) on the new WordPress.com site, you can do so by either transferring the domain to WordPress.com or do a domain mapping.

Each of the paid plans comes with a free credit that allows you to register a new domain, transfer or map it. So the cheapest paid plan – Personal Plan at $4 per month ($48 per year) will allow you to either transfer or map your domain.
