Moving a theme from .com to .org

  Hi,

  I want to move this theme: http://linendemo.wordpress.com/
  from wordpress.com to wordpress.org

  First, is it possible to move this theme and use it on wordpress.org?
  Second, what options do I have except using a “Guided Transfer?

  Hi there. It is not possible to move themes from WP.com to WP.org or vice versa, even with a Guided Transfer. The two platforms are completely separate and different, and while some themes are available on both platforms, even those themes don’t have the same features on WP.com and WP.org and you can’t use themes from one platform on the other.

  If you want to set up a WordPress.org site you’ll need to look for a theme there that works for you and upload that theme to your site. You can search here for available themes on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/themes/

  I had a quick look, and the Linen theme is not listed there, but you can post in the support forum for this theme to find out if there is perhaps a WordPress.org version available: http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/linen
