Moving a website from my control

  Hello, I helped a local church benefice create a WordPress site (https://ironstonechurches.wordpress.com/), but I now want to relinquish control of this site, there will be other people administrating it. I have created a gmail email address for the website and want to remove it from me, and my personal WordPress login as I now have a personal blog under this. How can I separate the one from the other?

  Hi –

  If you created and registered https://ironstonechurches.wordpress.com/ then you will be able to transfer it to another WordPress.com user account following this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

  Hi – thank you so much for your help, I’ve tried to transfer the blog out, but I’ve got the error message that I ‘cannot transfer to that user’. Is there a reason why I wouldn’t be able to transfer to someone?

  I see that you commented under 2 different user names in this thread. You will need to make sure you are logged into the account that owns the domain you are trying transfer, in order for the transfer to be successful.
