Moving away from WordPress, struggling to configure Github Pages

    Hi there.

    I recently transferred my domain from WordPress to Namecheap. Now I am trying to point my website (unoptimal.com) to Github Pages, which I thought I had configured properly. However, Github is giving me this error:

    ‘Both unoptimal.com and its alternate name are improperly configured
    Domain does not resolve to the GitHub Pages server. For more information, see documentation (NotServedByPagesError).’

    When I type in unoptimal.com or http://www.unoptimal.com, I want it to point to: https://unoptimal.com/index.html. Instead, going to either points back to the wordpress site (unoptimal.wordpress.com)

    I am very confused and would appreciate any help. Thanks.

    You’ll need to talk to Namecheap or Github support teams. As your site and domain are no longer here with us at WordPress.com, there isn’t much we can do to help.
