moving back to wordpress!

  I had a free wordpress site then transferred it to Shopify. I am now moving it back to wordpress but I am concerned about all of my blogs. Can I move them back easily? I also want to import a 3rd party theme- do I need to upgrade my package? Thanks!

  Hi, there.

  First, on the 3rd party theme, you can’t upload those to WordPress.com, they can only be used on a self-hosted WordPress site. There are hundreds of themes available here though. Here’s more info.

  As far as moving your posts back in to your WordPress.com site, here’s a good article on that, in general.

  Import a Website

  I don’t know much about Shopify, but did a little Googling and it looks like there isn’t an easy way to export content. There may be others here on the forums who have more experience on that.

  There is also a good article here on connecting Shopify to WordPress.com.

  This is for sites with the Business plan.

  It’s more for when you’re planning to keep both sites running, though, not moving between the two.
