moving banner in twenty twenty
-
Hi,
I was just wondering if there is a way in CSS to create a banner on the homepage that features moving text, kind of like what they have on a news TV show.
Is this something that is doable through CSS or do I need a specific plugin and widget?
Thanks :)

Hi @mollybr96,
Could you please tell us the address of the site you need help with? Once we know that we can point you in the right direction for support.
To be short, only CSS is not going to work, because it works only on appearance of existing objects only. That means you have to create something to show, then apply css to show it as banner. You can say “I can create a paragraph on home page , add a Additional CSS class(es) and then apply custom CSS to those classes”. That works, but such way you can “pin” a paragraph only inside of “working area” – the page only, you can not place it in footer, header or side menu, to fill all the width of the screen.
So yes, you have to use a plugins :)

Hi there,
On what site are you working? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.
If you’re using the open source WordPress software at another host, please ask the WordPress.org community at https://wordpress.org/support/forums instead for advice on the best plugin to use for this.
