Moving blog from new page to a new post

Hi..Had all blogs, set at 10, on home/front page. With my seventh I started a new page. Mistake, How can I move the new page back to the top/newest entry on the front page?

As well, if I change my settings to one or two on the page, are the older posts simply archived?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please review this Support post on Pages and Posts:

    Pages vs. Posts

The only way to convert one to another is copy/paste and then delete the Page you don’t want anymore.

The older posts are available by a link at the bottom of your blog usually called Previous Posts as well as being available in the archives.

Thanks raincoaster….just hope I can accomplish this task. All new to me! Thanks again, MJ

You’re welcome and good luck. It’s always best to make those changes promptly. I’ve seen people with dozens of Pages who have to essentially redo their whole blogs.

Sorry, me again. Do I go to from edit to edit pages? I highlight the entire blog of 700 words and transfer to the edit post page, new post link? As you can tell I am VERY new at doing anything more on the computer than simple emails. I have a feeling that I am going to be retyping the blog. MJ

If what you had is a Page and you want to make it into a Post, you go to Edit Page, you copy all the content (easiest to do on the HTML editor, to make sure you’re not leaving out any tags) then you go to New Post and paste it in. If you copied it from the HTML editor, be sure to paste it into the HTML editor. IF you copied from the Visual, paste it into the Visual. Then add a title and tags/categories and if you want, you can alter the time and date of posting as well, to move it back in time and thus in the order of posts on your blog.

Thanks again…I bet I can’t do it. I also bet I end up rewriting it!

I bet you CAN do it. The first one is tricky, after that it’s easy. Seconds per post.
