Moving Blog Site to WordPress from another Blog Host

  I have a lot of photos posted to my blog posts on my site hosted by TypePad. I have already imported all of my posts from my TypePad site. If I upgrade to a paid WordPress.com site, and I set my DNS to connect to my WordPress site, will those photos get brought over to WordPress when I complete the steps or will I have to manually post those photos here?

  Hi there!

  A standard export from TypePad does not include images. So when you import into WordPress images will not be uploaded to your site, rather imported from your TypePad installation. You must leave your old blog online or images may become broken on your new WordPress setup.

  After completing the import you should see your media when selecting the “Media” option here: https://wordpress.com/media/

  Although this depends on the overall space needed for your media, I would recommend going with the Business plan.
