Moving Blog To WordPress.org – Can I change my domain name?

    Hello anyone and everyone,

    I have plans to pay for the Site Redirect from WordPress to move my blog (asparrowreads.com) to WordPress.org – using DreamHost as my host provider. My question is, can I change the domain name?

    I own the domain name for gracethorson.com at DreamHost, and I want to change asparrowreads.com to it. If I use Site Redirect, is that going to mess up things? How can I change it to gracethorson.com?

    I also want to buy a theme online for my blog once it’s been moved to wordpress.org – am I able to do this with the move? Does the Site Redirect keep my old theme or can I change it (which is what I’d prefer)?

    I just don’t know what to expect from this. Will I be in contact with WordPress as they make this move? Do I need to let them know about the domain name at DreamHost? Sorry for all the questions.

    I want to make sure I know what I’m doing first before I take this step.
