Moving blogs with premium upgrades to WordPress.org

  I have two blogs with the premium upgrade, but I would like to move them from wordpress.com to wordpress.org in order to use a custom theme. I purchased the premium upgrades in September, would I receive partial reimbursement for the hosting charges?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Howdy,

  We have a thirty-day refund policy for upgrades and while we’re a bit flexible with that, the purchase was too long ago for me to refund, even partially.

  Could I give an extra year on each of your domain registrations instead?

  If you’d like to do that, please reply here when you’re ready to cancel the two Premium bundles and I can take care of it for you.

  Dear Kraftbj,

  Thank you, I completely understand about not being able to refund me. I was not sure how the services worked. I would like to take you up on your offer for the extra year on the domain registrations, but first I need to figure out how to move them! Should I move them before you cancel? I am not really sure what to do!

  Howdy Kay,

  You can move your sites to a WordPress.org-based server at any time. As long as the domains are still registered with WordPress.com, I can add the extra time on for you.

  Are you ready for me to cancel the premium bundles and add on the time?

  Sounds great. To confirm, I’m going to cancel the bundle on both of your sites and add on the extra time.
