Moving categories from one sidebar to another.

I’m trying to set up my blog and I’m running into two issues right now, both to do with sidebars.

I’m using the ‘Digg 3 Column’ theme. When I added some links, it allowed me to create a new category for those links, but it automatically stuck that category in ‘Sidebar 2’. I want it to be in ‘Sidebar 1’, but can’t figure out how to get it over there.

My other issue is that this theme has a calendar in Sidebar 2 that I don’t want there but can’t find a way to delete. Anybody have any ideas on this one also?

    TIA!

    1. Please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here – or link your nickname to your blog as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know. We usually need that to give a relevant answer.

    2. Please search the forum before posting: questions on standard workings have been answered countless times.

    – When you go to Appearance>Widgets, you get the contents of the one sidebar by default. To access and edit the other, select it from the scrolldown and click Show.

    – When you haven’t added any widgets yourself, the theme displays a set of artificially generated sidebar items. To get rid of them, you add the widgets you really want, then click Save Changes.
