Moving comment to different post
-
I edited a reader’s comment, posted it to my blog, and replied to it. Only then did I notice that the commenter hadn’t posted his comment to the post he was actually replying to. I want to move both his comment and my reply to the appropriate post, but I can’t figure out how to do it except by deleting them and re-posting them. Is there another way to do it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Same problem. Commenters on the “about” page before I remembered to close them and now I can’t get them to the proper place.

Thanks, ariodyssey. I guess I should have searched a little further. Fortunately, I only have a few comments on the page before I figured out how to shut off comments.

OK, successfully moved the comments but some of the steps are unneeded. I did not need to log out to make a new comment and the relog back in. I just had two tabs open on the browser and switched back and forth.

Thanks — it worked for me too, and like jkgallag I just cut-and-pasted without logging out and in. But the copied posts now have my gravatar and IP address attached to them, instead of the original poster’s. I can live with this but will probably poke it it in future to see if I can fix it.

Same thing for me. I edited a comment to reflect the issues regarding the Gravatar and IP so the original commenter would know what was going on.
