Moving comments
-
Now and then I’ll get a pingback or a comment that gets posted in the wrong thread. I have one in my moderation que right now that should be in a post under a different topic. Is there a way it can be moved to the proper post from the que without having to copy and paste it into the proper one?

Can you give us a link to a comment where this has happened, and also one to where it should be?
-
Sure. Right now it’s in my ‘spam’ que here: http://sfcmac.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php?comment_status=spam
The link they responded to is here: http://sfcmac.wordpress.com/2008/11/30/with-euro-friends-like-this-who-needs-enemies/
and here is where it should be: http://sfcmac.wordpress.com/2008/11/20/thats-gratitude-for-you/
I’m not sure how it happened. I can simply copy and paste the comment into the correct post, but if there’s a way I can re-route the comment from the spam que to the correct post, I’d like to know.
Thanks.

Not as far as I know. What I’d do is copy-paste for sure, but LOG OUT first. Then fill in name, email and URL (if any) as if you were them. Then paste the contents in. That way it’ll show up as their comment rather than yours. The avatar might or might not show, though.

Copy the comment. Paste it as your own comment in the post where it should be.
Then edit the comment to add the reader’s name, etc.
Finally go back and delete the misplaced comment.
No need to log out.
