Moving content, SQL data from wordpress 2.8.1 to wordpress.com

So I currently have the following setup:

QNAP TS209 linux based server running wordpress 2.8.1 out of my house.
Go Daddy registration so that mackconsult.com points to my comcast IP address (fortunately it never changes).

I am considering selling the house and going cruising. If I do this I would disconnect my NAS and take it with me, or put it in storage.

I back up the Qweb directory every week as well as the SQL data. How would I upload all this stuff to wordpress.com? This way I can mantain the blog for our cruising activiities and then later on down the road export/save everything out and put it back on the NAS.

If not I can just fire up a new different cruising blog …..

You cannot import your database. You can import only content and links. But you would first have to upgrade to the latest version of WordPress 3.2.1, and then export your content and links out of the site and import it into a free hosted WordPress.com blog. Moving from WordPress.org
