Moving domain and site from Weebly to WordPress

  I’d like to move my domain, currently hosted with Weebly with a Weebly site, to use with my free WordPress site. I’d like to do this without mapping (ie without upgrading WordPress plan). How do I do this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  In order to use the domain with us, you’d need to use one of our paid plans:
  https://wordpress.com/plans/

  However you might be able to use URL forwarding through your registrar. We do however recommend mapping, as it’ll be better for your presence in search engines, and many users will find it easier to use.

  OK. If I map, do need to move my hosting to another registrar ?

  (Currently the domain is registered and hosted with Weebly. )

  Do I need to move both the registration and hosting, and how?

  Your best bet is to simply change the name servers on Weebly’s end:
  https://hc.weebly.com/hc/en-us/articles/201184656-Manage-Nameserver-Records

  They should be set to ours:

  ns1.wordpress.com
  ns2.wordpress.com
  ns3.wordpress.com

  Then you’ll need to follow these steps to finish the mapping.
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  Once you complete these steps, your domain should point to your WordPress.com site within a few hours.
