Moving Domain back to WordPress.com – Nameserver Issue
-
I previously moved a domain bought on WordPress.com to another site. I have since deleted the account, and removed the domain name from their registry completely. In my account on wordpress.com, I would like to renew the domain name, but I get the message “Your nameservers need to be set to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and NS2.WORDPRESS.COM for these DNS records to work.”
Since my domain is no longer hosted by another site and I can’t manage the nameservers there, what do I do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That domain name does not seem to be registered anymore – you should be able to register it again – either with WordPress.COM or any Registrar
Dashboard >> Store >> Add a Domain
-
Alright I tried to renew it – and it won’t let me; just saying “please contact support to renew this product.” This is the only means of contacting support I can find…
-
The domain has reverted to the wild, anyone can register it – you need to purchase it, not renew it

If you go to
Dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades >>
Can you see an old expired Domain Mapping Upgrade? If so try deleting it –
I have also flagged this for the staff to help – but they are a bit backed up with help requests
-
The option to delete also says “contact support.” So I’ll wait for them to get around to me. Thanks for your help.

I have removed the expired domain from your account as requested.
