Moving domain from GoDaddy

  Hello, I’m really new to this, but I wanted to know if it’s best to move my domain name(s) from GoDaddy to WordPress or leave them with GoDaddy…..suggestions? Thanks

  if it’s best to move my domain name(s) from GoDaddy to WordPress or leave them with GoDaddy

  With mapping, the domain will remain registered with GoDaddy. The process creates a connection between the domain and optimalbizleads.wordpress.com. but the domain itself will still need to be renewed through GoDaddy each year:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  Transferring the domain from GoDaddy to WordPress.com means it will be registered and renewed through us each year. This option would be better if you want to manage the site and domain through one account:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
