You don’t get a domain-specific email address with a domain transfer. There is the option to purchase a G Suite through WordPress.com, if you like the idea of consolidating your billing for domain and branded email on your WordPress.com account.
Otherwise, it’s the same as G Suite that you purchase directly from Google.

Besides G Suite, which we sell, you can also create an email account at any other provider that offers that service, and connect it to your domain here. There are free and paid options available:
G Suite is on the expensive side of the spectrum, and the best option if you want the familiar Gmail interface, along with the full suite of Google services like Google Drive and Docs, Google Hangouts, etc. But there are also cheaper and simpler options if you’re on a budget, or just not looking for something quite that comprehensive :)
