Moving domain name and hosting from godaddy

  I want to move my own domain name and begin using WordPress software and hosting. What are the steps? What will the approximate cost be per year (and per website)?

  Thanks for getting in touch. While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar.

  You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  The approximate cost for mapping a domain is $13/year/domain. The hosting of your site’s content is free.
