Moving domain registration from a 3rd party registrar to WordPress

Can I transfer my domain from another registrar to wordpress? I’m thinking about choosing the domain upgrade or the premium bundle. I already own the domain I want to use. I’m trying to find the cheapest way to renew my domain name each year? Is the best option to keep my domain registered with the current host (renewing at $15/year) and then pay the domain upgrade with wordpress ($13/year) or the premium bundle ($100/year) or can I transfer the domain name where WordPress becomes my registrar? In doing so would I be able to pay less than $15/year to renew my domain through wordpress? Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.COM is not set up to accept incoming domain name transfers – so you need to keep your domain name registered not here

You can map the domain name to your blog here for $ 13.– / year

  • As auxclass mentioned, we don’t accept incoming domain transfers. WordPress.com Premium includes either one domain registration or one mapped domain.

If you’ll take advantage of all the other features it includes – Custom Design, No Ads, Space Upgrade, VideoPress, etc. – the bundle can still be very worthwhile even if your domain is registered elsewhere.

Just let me know if you need further help.
