moving domain registration to wordpress

We have a domain that is expiring that we want to transfer to wordpress from godaddy, we purchased the upgrade but I don’t see a way to do this in the domain administration area. I only see how to cancel a wordpress hosted domain.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.COM is not set up to do incoming domain name registration transfers, you can map you domain name to your blog here – but your registration needs to be not at WordPress.COM

I guess I am confused since the upgrade stated that wordpress would host a domain for us. We are working to move our site over to be hosted at wordpress, we purchased the value bundle which states domain name and mapping.

Correct – but you can’t TRANSFER a domain name registration to WordPress.COM – you can purchase a NEW domain name here – I have a domain name that I bought before I moved here – I mapped the domain name to a blog here but my registration is still with my old host

okay, so then why is it asking me to buy the domain mapping when I already paid for it in the bundle?
