moving domain to wordpress / changing to premium

  My domain renews 4/24. I’m thinking of moving it to WordPress and changing from a free account to a Premium account. How do I move the domain to WordPress and have it be free for the first year as I open a Premium account? Does any of my old free page content transfer over to a premium theme or do I have to start over? Thank you!

  An existing domain can be transferred to WordPress.com with these steps:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  The domain credit included paid plans covers the transfer cost and automatically renews it for another year, once the process is complete.

  Does any of my old free page content transfer over to a premium theme or do I have to start over?

  All the work you have done on annievan.wordpress.com will remain in place — adding a custom domain hides the free address rather than creating a separate site. You will be able to try and unlimited number of premium themes once the Premium plan is active (as soon as the checkout process is complete).
