Moving Existing Site to WordPress.com

  I have an existing site and domain. I want to start using WordPress.com but would like to build the WP.com site before changing my nameservers. It there a way to set up on a temporary URL/domain so I can develop the site before moving? The existing site is not a WordPress site.
