moving followers from one blog to another

  I want to move my blog entries from one wordpress.com site to another wordpress.com site that I already have running. I have read the instructions for moving the blog entries, and I think I can do that, but what happens to the people who are already following the site that I want to close? Will they automatically be transferred, too?

  Hi there!

  You can request to have your followers transferred to your new site. All we need to know is the site your followers are now and what site you want them moved to.

  If you haven’t already set up your new site, you can always rename your site since it sounds like you don’t want to use your current site name anymore. That way you wouldn’t have to move your content or your followers. I can give you more information on this if you’re interested.

  Otherwise, I’ll wait to hear back from you on moving your followers to your new site.

  Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Both sites have been up and running for a while–one was used as a website to promote my books and resources and the other was simply a blog about writing. I’m just trying to combine both into one location. Once I get myself organized, I’ll be contacting you for help with moving my followers.

  I’ve moved my blog posts from http://wrightwriter.wordpress.com to http://wrightingwords.wordpress.com. (Very easy!) Would you please move my followers now?
