• Unknown's avatar

Hello Dear WordPress.com staff:

I’m in a process of transferring my photo-blog from .com to .org. <http://bohemianseye.com/>

a) Would you kindly help me transfer my followers/stats/blogs I follow? Certainly my most important thing so move would be my followers.

b) I’m going to add Jetpack, (to keep same features, function as wordpress.com as possible )is there any other recommendation to install? (Would this question be better be addressed to .org staff? if so let me know pls.)

c) After the transition to .org, would my followers can still be able to see my updates on their “Reader” and comments, etc…as it is now on .com?

Thank you very much in advance,

M

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

• Hi there – We can move your followers and stats for you after you’ve installed and connected Jetpack. Do you want them moved from http://bohemianseye.com/ to http://bohemianseye.puzzleoutworks.com/ ?

It’s not possible to move Blogs I Follow, but there’s an Export link at the top here if you’d like to move those feeds to another feed reader:
http://wordpress.com/following/edit/

And yes, your followers will see your updates in the Reader and so forth as usual.

Thank you for your reply!

No no, I am going to keep teh same web address which is “http://bohemianseye.com/” as it is now. Just transfer from wordpress.COM to .ORG.

“puzzleoutworks….” is my web designer’s company server, – the site has been created under the company’s server….and now in a process of transit.

So again, “bohemianseye.com” remains same as it is now.

Please move my followers and stats from same web address but from “COM” to “ORG”.

Thanks for the tip for Export link, I’ll try once the transition will be completed.

Glad to know that my followers will my posts in their reader as it is now.

Thank you very much!

M

• Hi there – You’ll first need to finish transferring your site entirely, and move your domain over to the new site and connect Jetpack. Then, I can move your subscribers and stats. Let me know when you’re all set!

Hi eurello,

I do keep couple of blogs under the same name (account) as “bohemianseye” and wondering what would be happening once the transition ( bohemianseye.com, to be transferred from wordpress.COM to wordpress.ORG) be completed?

How would this transition affect my other blogs?
like: how do I access to other blogs? Or any impacts you’d think – would you please advise me?

Thank you.

M

• Hi there – Your WordPress.com account with your various blogs and your WordPress.com login remains intact and is not affected by this, and your old blog will still be there at its original URL, bohemianeyes.wordpress.com. You can either hide or delete it once you’ve made sure all your content has moved. You can read more about the differences here:

Read the article – interesting…here’s a thought pop up to my mind;

“IF” I didn’t like the ORG after transition, and given that my site on wordpress.com still remain, I can always come back to .COM?

is my understanding correct?

Thank you, M

• Hi there – Yep, you can!

Hello eurello,
I just got a notice that the transition of my site has been completed. Would you take necessary process to move my followers/stats/blogs I follow?

Thank you very much in advance!

M

The subscribers and stats have been moved as requested. The ‘Blogs I follow’ part is a feature of the WordPress.com reader and can’t be exported. However, you can still keep reading those blogs at WordPress.com or any RSS reader.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Hi Kardotim, Thank you very much!
Re: Blogs I follow” thing, noted as well, I exported from “.com” but was wondering how to import opml file to “.org” so about to ask it here….but okay, I can’t do it…Got you.

I still keep other sites under the same account so will check through .com readers I guess.

Thank you very much!

Thank you very much for all your support…

I have one question – yet it is not related to this topic…

A blogger is keep “Following” my blogs and “Unfollow” then “Follow” then…..repeat this actions like…100 times (I’m NOT exaggerate…) for all blogs I run. She is not leaving any mean comments, is a young girl whose passionate on fashion…which I have absolutely not interested to follow…her behavior is not harmful, I know, however, receiving the notice of “XXXX start following” for 100 times…. is kind of…..disturbing….

Is there any way to block her / her behavior?

Thank you,

M
