moving from blogspot to wordpress
-
I have a blog on blogger/blogspot that I want to move to wordpress. Can I take my free blog with me and how do I do it? I am technically defunct but I can write. I am learning little by little the technical aspects of the process but I would like to move it as soon as possible so that I can have advertising control. Can anyone help me?

The only advertising control you will have is NO advertising.
I moved from blogger to WP and the import worked OK, but I had to reformat most of the posts/pics to fit the theme I chose.

teamoyeniyi is correct. If you want advertising control that’s not possible on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. No blogger initiated advertising is allowed. You need to hire a Web host and set up a WordPress.org install if you want your own advertising.

I want to pay for a blog so that I can choose my advertisers. I just have heard that WordPress is better than Blogger. So I am wondering how I can import my blog.

Then maybe WordPress.ORG would be better for you than WordPress.COM:
