Moving from .com to .org
-
Hello, I have a couple questions. Once I buy the transfer to the .org site, it says I have to pay for the host. Can you please tell me what that means. Can my followers still type in http://www.wholebodychange.com and get to my blog? Does the .org allow advertisements? How does one get advertisers on a blog?
Thank you

Hi there,
First, you may want to read up on the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:
If you go to a WordPress.org site, then you will need to have a hosting account with a third party company in order to make it work. We have a few recommendations:
Once everything is transferred, yes your readers will be able to reach you at wholebodychange.com, and yes you will be able to have advertisements on your site. As for how to get advertisers, that would not be something which we could assist with. You may want to research how to do so yourself before you take this step!

Doesn’t word press offer the convenience of moving the site from a .com to a .org for a fee?

I sincerely apologize! I completely forgot to include the Guided Transfer as a possible solution for you!
Yes, we do have a service wherein we will do the transferring for you. The fee is $129 per blog and you can read all about it right here:

Again, so sorry for leaving that one out!
