Moving from Joomla to WordPress

  I currently have an ecommerce website running on a Joomla Platform. I would like to move my domain over to WordPress. I understand that I may lose my product data and that is fine. I am looking for a fresh start on my website but I don’t want to lose my domain name.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  No problem about the domain name!

  While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar, or move your domain to a registrar you prefer.

  You can use your existing domain with your WordPress.com site by mapping the domain, as explained here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  Thank you Robyn!! You are always so helpful to me! That helps a lot and I will reference back when we are ready to map the domain. Now, can I create a website using WordPress before mapping my domain? Making sure that I cause as little disruption to my customers as possible.

  Yes, absolutely. Feel free to built a site and then set up the mapping when you are completely ready.
