Moving from Local to Hosted

    I have created a wordpress website on Local by Flywheel, but now need to collaborate with other webmasters from my organization – and we can’t have the website public until our national organization approves it.

    1) I assume that I will need to move the website to a hosted site for multiple people to access and update?

    2) I assume once we move to a host, we can mark every page as Private or Password protected until we get approval to go public? Or do we need one public page?

    3) To actually get the local website hosted, does the host do all that for me?

    4) Does Word Press do hosting? I’ve heard of hosting sites like Go Daddy, but am trying to figure out the right support model and pricing for a non-profit with multiple people supporting the website over the years.

    That’s correct.

    That’s correct. On WordPress.com, please see how to do this here: https://wordpress.com/support/settings/privacy-settings/

    For the site to be visible, you would need to make those parties a user:

    https://wordpress.com/support/user-roles/

    No, this would need to be done yourself. We recommend this plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/ to move a site from local to live.

    The site on WordPress.com would need to be on the business plan.
