Moving from old wordpress to new

    Hi there,

We recently had an issue with our Tech team and now we are relying on more base models. So we loved the wordpress sites, so we made a new site, which is working wonderfully with it’s wordpress address

My issue is that I’m trying to map the DNS address from our old wordpress site which has been emptied and deleted, to the new one we just built.
After using the wordpress steps to map the address, it still brings it up to the old site. I’m using AWS currently for DNS hosting, but hoping to transfer it over to WordPress soon. But needing a fix for this in the meantime

  • Hi! You did it right.

I’ve just confirmed the domain is loading for me. If you’re still having trouble, it means your computer — or possibly even your internet provider — is not yet looking for the domain at its new location.

Sometimes simply restarting your computer will do the trick to make it “forget” the old location. If not, and if it’s been more than a day or so, check in with your internet service provider or systems administrator and they should be able to help.

  • Oh, I forgot to add: with a paid plan you have direct access to support here:

You’re still welcome to contact us here instead if you’d like, though.
