Moving from other platform – what about my old links?
-
Hi,
I am considering moving from my own hosted Drupal blog to WordPress.com Premium, however I have one huge issue. Many of my blogposts are linked to thousands of times (for example myblog.com/node/123, and it is important that these links remain working even when I point the domain to WordPress. I am thinking of importing all of the posts into wordpress, and the blog posts should still be reachable at myblog.com/node/X.
I have a hard time finding this feature. Is this really not possible?

When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you.
How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

WordPress.com does not do what you are looking to do.
However, the good news is that a self hosted WordPress.org site will do exactly what you want.
You just want to make sure that your permalink structure matches your existing URL structure when setting up your WordPress site.
