Moving from Shopify to WordPress

  Hello,

  I would like to move my website from Shopify to WordPress. Currently, my site is ecommerce focused, but I will shift to blogging/affiliate marketing on WordPress. I want to build a template for my site on WordPress before I migrate over from Shopify. Is this possible, or do I have to migrate the domain over first and then build the wordpress site?

  It is possible to build a website on WordPress.com prior to moving the domain or pointing the domain over to WordPress.com.
